Hvar is blessed with some spectacular nearby island neighbors, so taking a speedboat over to the island of Korcula is a must – because it’s one of Europe’s best-kept secrets.
Enjoy a full day of fabulous memories – from the stunning architectural beauty of Korcula’s Old Town, to great beaches, the island’s lush green interior, rich cultural legacy and some of the best white wines in the entire country.
And we haven’t yet mentioned Korcula’s most famous citizen – Marco Polo, who legend says was born here (you can even visit his house).. Surrounded by such beauty, one has to wonder why he felt the need to travel at all!
Your speedboat tour takes you past the gorgeous southern shore of Hvar to Korcula Town, with an optional swimming stop on the way. As this is a private tour, you control the itinerary. Upon arrival in the superbly preserved old town, your guide will conduct a one-hour walking tour of the town with its centuries of rich history, which also includes a visit to the birthplace of Marco Polo. After this, you will have some free time to explore, as well as some great lunch recommendations in local restaurants.
For the more adventurous, there are additional options, including an optional short cruise to the nearby Mljet National Park on the island of the same name.
Or why not explore the fabled wines of Korcula. Posip is the most widely available variety, but it is Grk which is not only the most intriguing but which also gets most of the accolades. A white variety which only grows on the sandy soil of the village of Lumbarda, it is in such high demand and limited supply that sales after tasting are limited to just two bottles per person!
After a hard day touring Korcula, one final optional stop before arriving back to Hvar Town – a swim in a deserted lagoon on Hvar’s southern shores – the perfect way to end a memorable day.
Meeting point:
We will pick you up at your hotel, villa, private accommodation, where your boat is moored or agreed pick-up location. We will agree on this when the tour is booked.
Departure time:
Between 9 – 11 AM. Most of these tours can also be arranged at a time that is convenient for you, so please ask us what your unique requirements are and we will be happy to get back to you with the particulars and our price.

This is a full-day program, 6 – 8 hours
End location:
We will end this tour where you wish – at the marina, your hotel, villa or private accommodation. Just let us know

A great day at the sea
